We are the only garden center in Boulder County that grows 100% of what we sell right here at our three greenhouses. This allows you to get the best plant at the best price. Both quality and price, what more could you want?  We are able to sell our plants at the best price because we produce everything ourselves, no middle-man and no retail markup. 

Our plants are of the highest quality for a number of reasons. We grow our plants very differently than other greenhouses. Most commercial greenhouses grow plants as fast as possible.  Unfortunately, this results in a plant that is not ready for Colorado's climate.

Here at Yatahai Gardens, we grow our plants with an understanding that young plants need to be ready for Colorado's extreme climate, be it high heat, rapid temperature swings, wind, or any other weather conditions. By allowing our plants to grow naturally, rather than forcing them to grow rapidly, we prepare them to thrive in your garden.

To further enhance the quality of our plants, every single plant grown and sold at Yatahai Gardens is personally grown and cared for by Thad Johnson, owner and sole operator of Yatahai Gardens. This hand-crafted aspect of every single plant at our garden center is something that is virtually unheard of in this day and age of mass production and mechanization. 

But don't take this to mean that we are small. On the contrary. We have nearly 10,000 square feet of production space, an additional 5,000 square feet of retail space, well over 100,000 plants produced each spring, thousands of hanging baskets, and hundreds of varieties of plants.

We are conveniently located on Nelson Road, west of Longmont, and five miles east of Highway 36 between Boulder and Lyons.
